Ryan W. Thornton

Ryan is focused on bringing efficient and cost-effective resolution to importers encountering U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) enforcement or compliance issues. Prior to going into private practice, Ryan was an attorney with CBP advising on administrative penalty proceedings, criminal and civil trade investigations, offers in compromise, classification, valuation, and origin issues, and seizures. Ryan’s perspective as an attorney who has sat at both sides of the table in CBP enforcement matters is an invaluable tool for his clients.

Ryan graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2013. During his legal studies, he interned at the U.S. Court of International Trade and represented the KU Moot Court Team at the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.

Ryan is admitted to the Kansas bar and the U.S. Court of International Trade.
